Terms of Service

Effective 1 January 2026. These terms govern your use of curiouslanebrowsng.lifestyle, a publication of Aegean Lane Media Ltd. Please read them before relying on anything you find here to plan or book a trip.

1. Who these terms are between

The website curiouslanebrowsng.lifestyle ("the Site") is owned and operated by Aegean Lane Media Ltd., Company No. 14872306, registered office 42 Voukourestiou Street, Kolonaki, Athens 106 71, Greece ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing, browsing or otherwise using the Site you accept these Terms of Service ("Terms") in full. If you do not accept them, please stop using the Site.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy, both of which form part of your agreement with us.

2. What the Site is — and what it is not

The Site is an independent editorial publication about five hotels in Athens and on the Athens Riviera. It publishes reviews, comparison tables, indicative pricing, journal guides and reader correspondence.

We are not a travel agency, tour operator, booking platform, package organiser or agent for any hotel. We do not take reservations, hold deposits, issue confirmations, process payments or act on behalf of any accommodation provider. Any booking you make is a contract between you and the hotel (or the intermediary you choose), on their terms, and we are not a party to it.

Guidance given by our editorial desk in response to a reader question is opinion offered in good faith. It is not professional travel, financial, medical, legal or accessibility advice, and it does not create a client relationship of any kind.

3. Editorial independence and disclosure

We book and pay for our own stays at publicly available rates, we decline hosted stays and press trips, and no hotel pays for inclusion, position or tone. The Site currently earns no commission on bookings. If that changes, the arrangement will be disclosed on the page where it appears, in line with our published editorial method.

4. Accuracy, rates and verification dates

Hotel rates, room dimensions, facility lists, restaurant concepts, spa access policies, opening hours, transfer times and tax levies all change — sometimes without notice and sometimes mid-season. Every figure on the Site carries a verification date; ours currently reads January 2026 unless a page states otherwise.

All prices are indicative lead-in rates for illustrative comparison only. They are not offers, quotations or guarantees of availability, and they exclude VAT, the Greek climate resilience levy and any other charge unless expressly stated. You must confirm the current price, inclusions and cancellation terms directly with the hotel before booking.

We correct errors of fact promptly and mark substantive corrections at the foot of the affected article with the date of amendment. If you spot something wrong, please write to [email protected].

5. Permitted use of the Site

You may read, print and share pages of the Site for your own personal, non-commercial travel planning, and you may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a working link to the source page.

You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • republish, syndicate, translate or redistribute substantial parts of our text, tables or photography;
  • use automated means — scrapers, crawlers, harvesters — to extract content, pricing tables or email addresses;
  • use our content to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine-learning or generative artificial-intelligence systems;
  • frame, mirror or present the Site so that it appears to be your own;
  • remove, obscure or alter any copyright, byline or verification notice;
  • introduce malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe our infrastructure, or interfere with the availability of the Site for others;
  • misrepresent yourself as affiliated with, endorsed by or writing on behalf of Aegean Lane Media Ltd.

6. Intellectual property

All editorial text, page structure, tables, brand marks, the site design and the arrangement of content are owned by Aegean Lane Media Ltd. or licensed to us, and are protected by Greek and international copyright law.

Photography is a mixture of our own images and third-party stock licensed for illustrative editorial use. Stock imagery is not a literal depiction of a specific room, restaurant or spa unless the caption says so. Hotel names, logos, trademarks and property photography referenced on the Site remain the property of their owners and are used for identification and editorial commentary only, under the principle of nominative fair use. No endorsement or affiliation is implied.

7. Messages you send us

When you submit an enquiry, correction or comment you confirm that the content is your own, is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and is not defamatory, unlawful or infringing. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store the message, reply to it, and — in anonymised, non-identifying form — quote from it or use the underlying question to inform our editorial coverage. We will not publish your name, email address or any identifying detail without asking you first.

We may decline to answer, or may close, correspondence that is abusive, commercial spam, or an attempt to obtain free itinerary-building at length. Handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party links and embedded content

The Site links to hotel websites, brand booking channels, museums, transport operators and tourism bodies, and it embeds a third-party map on the Contact page. Those destinations are outside our control. We check links at each verification cycle but we do not endorse, monitor or accept responsibility for third-party content, pricing, availability, security practices or privacy policies. Following an outbound link is at your own risk and subject to that operator's own terms.

9. Availability of the Site

We aim to keep the Site available and current, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, restructure or withdraw any part of the Site, including individual reviews or archived guides, at any time and without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, freedom from error, or compatibility with every browser or assistive technology, although accessibility reports are always welcome.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations not expressly set out in these Terms, and we shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or special loss, nor for loss of profit, loss of opportunity, wasted expenditure, or disappointment arising from:

  • reliance on rates, room categories, facility descriptions or timings that have changed since verification;
  • a booking decision, cancellation, upgrade request or room allocation outcome;
  • the acts, omissions, closures, renovations or service standards of any hotel, restaurant, spa or transport provider;
  • temporary unavailability of the Site or loss of data during transmission.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to €100 or the amount you have paid us (normally nothing), whichever is greater.

If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect your mandatory statutory rights under Greek or EU consumer law.

11. Indemnity

If you use the Site in breach of these Terms — in particular by scraping, republishing or misrepresenting our content — you agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, cost or reasonable legal expense arising from that use.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in law, editorial practice or the structure of the Site. The version in force is the one published here, with the effective date shown at the top of the page. Material changes will be summarised in the revision note below for at least six months. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Site are governed by Greek law. The courts of Athens, Greece shall have exclusive jurisdiction, save that if you are a consumer resident in another EU member state you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.

14. Complaints and contact

Complaints about editorial content, accuracy or conduct should be sent to [email protected] with the page URL and the specific detail in dispute. We acknowledge complaints within two working days and aim to resolve them within fifteen working days. Privacy matters should go to [email protected].

Postal correspondence: Aegean Lane Media Ltd., 42 Voukourestiou Street, Kolonaki, Athens 106 71, Greece.

15. Revision note

1 January 2026 — first published edition of these Terms, replacing the short legal notice previously carried in the site footer. No earlier version is in force.
